Did She Seriously Just Say That??

The random things that come out of my daughters mouth's from time to time are enough to crack me up and sometimes make me choke on food or whatever beverage that is in my mouth.
Me: You will be grounded until you bring your grades up. Period.
Allorah: I cant work at the church fiestas this weekend then?
Me: No
Allorah: But grandma and grandpa already told the church people that I would work the booth and help them out. So I still cant go?
Me: Nope
Allorah: So, let me get this right, your telling me that I cannot work for Jesus this weekend?
Me: That's what I'm saying, I will have grandma personally tell Jesus that you cant be employed by Him this weekend because your grounded and I'm sure He will understand your dilemma.
Allorah: Boo.

It's gonna be a long weekend so thank goodness my husband will be home this evening! LOL

Under The Weather

Poor Lola hasnt been feeling too keen since yesterday. We had to go pick her up from school today at lunch. The nurse called and said she was back in the office complaining of stomach cramps. We gave her some Ibuprofen and warmed up the heating pack and put her in bed. I threatened her an inch from her life if she got out of bed. ;) Oh the joys of girls!

Sad News

Jordyn just text me and told me that one of her long-time friends, Wendy B. was in a horrible car accident yesterday and was not doing well at all. It was in our local paper and my heart is just aching for the family. http://www.alamogordonews.com/ci_18949311 She used to hang out at our house and her and Jordyn were inseparable at one time. This makes me stop and think that this could be my child and it scares me more than anything. At any given moment, this can happen to my family. So I have to remember to stop and tell them how much I love them instead of rushing out the door or give them a kiss as they leave.
I pray for the speedy recovery of this young lady and for the well being of the family. I cant imagine what they are going thru.

We Did It!!

We did it!! We are now hitched and it was an amazingly beautiful day.

I am now Mrs. Shannon Barton and I'm smiling from ear to ear! Allorah and Jordyn looked beautiful and I couldn't be a prouder mom!

Nathan looked so handsome and my heart skipped a beat when I saw him.
Thank you to all my family that was able to be there to celebrate with us. Without the love and support of our family and close friends, none of it matters. A very special thank you to my dear friend, David Thompson and his friend Aaron Matheny, for kindly capturing our day as the amazing photographers that they are. I cannot wait to see what they have created. We are so thankful and blessed to have had you there.
Well we will be back on the road tomorrow for a long trip home and I will have my husband home for another week and then he will head back to Espanola.
Boo!
I can't wait for our 1st Anniversary honeymoon! 364 days away!

Doc Follow-Up

I went for my follow-up on all my tests yesterday and all my results came back negative, MRI, labs and EEG. Nothing out of the ordinary to explain my seizure. So that is great news. My doc wants me to see a neurologist just to be on the safe side and thinks I need to eat something as soon as I wake up. Just possible low blood pressure and blood sugar. So let's keep our fingers crossed for no more seizures.

Are You Serious?

So, if getting ready for a wedding isn't enough, I go and have a seizure at work yesterday!! Yup, I pass out on a co-worker and then start flopping around. I come to and there are people all around me and then here comes my mother and then the paramedics!! UGH!!! How embarrassing! I was mortified. I have passed out before but never had a seizure. So I go to my physician and today I spent the whole morning and afternoon at the hospital getting blood work, 5 hour glucose tolerance test, MRI and MRA of my big brain and then an EEG on Monday morning. Lovely! All this and then we leave for Vegas on Wednesday morning! Who needs this? Not me. No driving until they figure out why I had one, so Nathan has been driving Ms. Daisy, but he is leaving tomorrow and I will be left in the hands of Jo's driving....scary! I was actually on my way out the door and heading to drive to Las Cruces for the day when this happened. Thank God I wasn't driving is all I can say.
